This majestic tree grows between a lovely country church (St. Giles in Martinon) and a lively little brook.  It is five minutes from my home and every fall the beauty of the tree is overwhelming.... I have passed this scene a million times.  If I happen to be walking, I pause for a few minutes to watch the little brook making its way over the rocks and bushes that line the edges.  Because it was all so familiar I   never really notice  the perfect composition ..... the complimentary colors  all working together to produce the perfect subject to paint....Finally I saw it...painted it  and I  like the result.  Just a simple little scene right in my own back yard.
